Lambert is a self taught wood carver / turner.  At 16, he was carving local Birchwood and building his art studio in 2012 with a vision of creating natural wood functional art. 

Learning from books and videos of several master turners like Richard Raffan in Australia; he studied and evolved in the art of turning green felled hardwood of all species. 

Slowly mastering his unique techniques, tools and processes of preparing the log for 1st green-turning and carving the bulwark of his intuitive designs. Then the slow and careful process of drying & curing the wood to prevent cracking and warping. Patience and careful observation eventuates to the 2nd and final turning, carving, sanding, oiling and polishing into its own; one of kind .. functional Art.

A process that often takes one to two years to complete.

Every tree species; having its own unique fragrance; temperament, characteristics and beauty; which makes each piece an amazing journey and experience.
